Adventure Wolves

Adventures that Connect Land, Culture, and Self

Hi, we are the Wolfs.

We met in Boulder, Colorado in 2014. One of the key things that attracted us to each other was our love of adventure, including international travel. During our first few years together we explored Asia, including Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, taking advantage of Karl’s part time job in New Zealand. After adding Oz to our family and getting married, we put our careers on hold and took a 14-month sabbatical to complete an overland expedition through Mexico, Central and South America. As soon as we returned to the US, we started dreaming of exploring the world on a full time basis. After another 5 years of work and preparations, we were ready to make that dream a reality. Now we are embarking our current overland expedition to Western Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa.

Karl Wolf

Adventure Planner, Driver and Visual Storyteller

Hi, I'm Karl.

I developed a love for adventure, including outdoor adventure, from an early age. In my 20s and 30s, my primary passions included mountaineering and rock climbing. Later in life, I became more passionate about mountain biking, including bikepacking. Throughout my life, I have done alot of international travel. As part of my career as a manager of healthcare IT companies, I had the opportunity to live and work as an expat in Germany and New Zealand which I used as base camps to explore Australasia and Europe. One of my biggest passions is exploring indigenous communities.

Leah Wolf

Guide, Navigator, and Web Developer

Hi, I'm Leah.

I was exposed to a life of adventure at an early age. As a child, I grew up going to concerts, skiing, and backpacking in the backcountry. As a teen, I became passionate about surfing, playing guitar and spirituality, including esotericism and mysticism. I pursued my first career in music, as a lead guitarist and singer/songwriter of heavy metal and punk rock bands. Later in life, I started a second career as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I discovered my love for travel while playing gigs touring the United States, as well as traveling internationally throughout my life. Travel encompasses my passion for psychology, spirituality and esoterism, and love for nature, wildlife, and beauty, as well as my fascination with history, culture, and humanity.
