Keeping It Clean
Body, Mind, Emotion, Spirit
“Body, Mind, Emotion, Spirit”
One of the most important practices in my life—whether at home or on the road—is maintaining a clean environment. For me, this means caring for my body, mind, emotions, and spirit through healthy habits, mindful rituals, and a tidy physical space.
Over time, I’ve discovered that daily rituals don’t just help me cultivate intuition—they keep my mind grounded and at peace. With rituals in place, I feel less vulnerable to outside distractions, more tolerant of life’s unpredictability, and more aligned with what is.
For me, ritual means creating a consistent daily routine. Mine usually includes clearing my space, practicing meditation, expressing gratitude, and setting intentions for the day ahead. These practices help me reset and reconnect, but maintaining them while traveling has been far more challenging than at home.
After a few weeks on the road, I felt increasingly unsettled and sensitive to changing environments. That’s when I realized I needed to intentionally reintroduce my home rituals into life on the go. It took effort—and it still does, without the familiar comfort of my dedicated space—but once I committed to the practice, I began to feel more centered and like myself again.
My daily rituals are as essential to me as brushing my teeth, getting enough sleep, or eating well. They are not optional—they’re the foundation that supports everything else I do.
Starting the Day
Before I even reach for my phone or get out of bed, I take a moment to focus on gratitude. I connect with the feeling of what I’m manifesting in my life and send love out to the world. I often light a candle, burn sage, and set an intention for the day. Sometimes, I pair this with my morning shower to create a mindful start. Before moving on, I tidy up anything left from the previous day—yes, that includes making the bed!
Ending the Day
My evening routine is similar. I light a candle, burn sage, shower, and meditate before bed. As I drift toward sleep, I consciously release the day’s experiences—the good, the bad, and everything in between. I imagine clearing it all away, leaving no lingering energy from the day behind.

Body, Mind, Emotion, Spirit
This practice gives me mental space and emotional clarity, helping me focus on what truly matters. I do the same while living in the camper (though it’s more challenging in a small space—and somehow, it takes even longer!).
Some might call it simple, time-consuming, or even a little “hippy-dippy,” but over the past 10 years, I’ve found this routine keeps my mind clear, my heart open, and my environment ready to receive what life has to offer.
