Young Grasshopper

Mexico Pt. II”

So far, this trip has been great for my overall well-being. As an extrovert, I thrive on meeting new dogs (and humans), and I’ve definitely been expanding my social circle. I also get plenty of “me time” with my frisbee.

I do get a little off when we’re constantly on the move—but life gets boring if we stay in one place too long. I guess it’s all about finding balance.

Mom finds her balance by sitting still. She calls it “meditating.” I sit too—but only when there’s a treat involved. Sometimes she twists herself into a pretzel on a mat and calls it “yoga.” I do pretzel poses too. Mine are usually for cleaning purposes… but I focus on just one chakra. Dad says it’s gross.

Mexico Pt. II

Like Dad, I find balance through exercise. I’ve become a master fly-catcher (think Karate Kid but furrier). And if you think fireworks can scare me—show me one, and I’ll show you my tail. Oh wait…

I still occasionally “lose it” and rush a stranger now and then, but I’m pretty sure I’ve outgrown the “Young Grasshopper” stage.

Speaking of grasshoppers… did you know the locals in Mexico eat them as snacks? They’re called chapulines. No judgment. I say: you say chapuline, I say TREAT. Or better yet—TREATes!

We’re all made in the image of doG, after all. Even if some of us are crunchy.
